Terms of Service

1. Service Description

HeyGigaFile ("the Service") is a free file-sharing service that allows users to upload and share files up to 5 GB. Files are stored for a maximum of 7 days and automatically deleted upon expiry.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Upload, share, or distribute illegal content
  • Upload files that infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful software
  • Engage in harassment, fraud, or any unlawful activity
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the Service

    • 3. File Limits

  • Maximum file size: 5 GB
  • File expiry: 7 days from upload
  • Optional download count limits may be set by the uploader
  • Optional password protection is available

    • 4. No Warranty

    The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee file availability, data integrity, or uninterrupted service.

    5. Limitation of Liability

    The operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this Service, including but not limited to data loss, unauthorized access, or service interruption.

    6. Changes

    We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

    Privacy Policy

    1. Data We Collect

  • IP address: Recorded at upload time for abuse prevention
  • File metadata: File name, size, MIME type, upload timestamp
  • Usage data: Download count per file

    • 2. Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not require user registration or login
  • We do not use cookies for tracking
  • We do not collect personal information beyond IP addresses
  • We do not analyze or inspect the content of uploaded files

    • 3. Data Storage & Processing

  • Files and metadata are stored on Cloudflare R2 (object storage) and Cloudflare D1 (database)
  • All data is processed through Cloudflare Workers (edge computing)
  • Cloudflare's infrastructure may process data in multiple regions globally

    • 4. Data Retention

  • Uploaded files are automatically deleted after 7 days
  • Expired file metadata is purged by automated cleanup every 6 hours
  • Rate limiting data is retained for up to 5 minutes

    • 5. Third Parties

    We use Cloudflare, Inc. as our sole infrastructure provider. No data is shared with advertising networks, analytics services, or other third parties.

    6. Your Rights

    You may delete your uploaded files at any time using the delete key provided at upload. For other requests, contact us at the email below.

    Deletion Policy

    Automatic Deletion

    All uploaded files are automatically deleted 7 days after upload. This is enforced by a server-side scheduled task that runs every 6 hours.

    Manual Deletion

    Upon upload, a unique delete key is provided. Anyone with this key can permanently delete the file at any time before expiry, via:

  • The upload completion page (immediate delete button)
  • The download page (enter delete key to delete)

    • Abuse Reports

    If you believe a file violates these terms or applicable law, please contact us at the email below with the file URL and reason for the report. We will review and take action within 48 hours.

    Data After Deletion

    Once deleted (manually or automatically), the file is permanently removed from storage. Metadata records are also purged. This action is irreversible.
